Delavan/ Barbara L. Suma, age 69 of Huntley IL., formerly of Delavan passed away Monday, April 12, 2010 at her home. She was born December 16, 1940 in Elkhorn, the daughter of Steve and Beatrice (Burns) Beresh. She married Edward Suma on September 8, 1962 at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Delavan and he preceded her in death on June 21, 2007. She was a member of the St. Andrews Catholic Church.
She is survived by her 3 sons, Edward Mark (Lisa) Suma of Woodstock, IL, Stephen Todd (Christine) Suma of Huntley, IL and Kenneth Michael (Suzanne) Suma of Hampshire, IL; 4 grandchildren, Samantha, Morgan, Shandon and Dayne and 1 grandson on the way; 1 sister, Jacqueline (Rick) Doering of Webster, WI; 1 nephew, Thomas (Tammy) Doering of New Richman,WI; 2 great-nephews, Mike and Teri Doering also of New Richman. She is preceded in death by her parents and her husband Edward.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am , Friday, April 16, 2010 at St. Andrews Catholic Church in Delavan with Fr. Jim Schuerman officiating. Visitation will be Thursday, from 4:00pm until 7:00pm at Monroe Funeral Home in Delavan. Memorials may be made to the Hospice of Northeastern IL. MONROE FUNERAL HOME, Delavan, is assisting the family.
