DELAVAN - T. Allan Logan, age 85, died on Thursday, August 16th, 2018 in Deforest, WI. He passed away in his home while surrounded by loved ones.

Allan was born on October 9th, 1932 to Thadeus William Logan and Henrietta Sofia Schubert and grew up in Two Rivers, WI. He graduated in 1950 from Washington High School in Two Rivers and was a graduate of St. Norbert’s College. On June 7th, 1954, he married Jean Logan (née Allan). He started teaching English in Beloit, WI in the 1960s and retired as a High School Counselor from Delavan Darien High School in the 1990s. Jean and Allan lived in Delavan, WI for over 40 years.

Allan is survived by his brother and sister-in-law John and Kathleen Logan; daughter-in-law and son-in-law Kathleen (née Nostrant) and Bart O’Shea; 6 grandchildren (along with their spouses) Jennifer (née Logan) and Brian Brown of Deforest, WI, Thadeus and Abby Logan of Verona, WI, Scarlet (née Logan) and Omar Peña of Appleton, WI, Joseph Logan of Appleton, WI, Emma O’Shea of Eau Claire, WI, and Seamus O’Shea of Sun Prairie; and great granddaughters Chloe, Logan, and Sydnee. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, and other family friends.

Allan was preceded in death by his wife, Jean; sons William, Stephan, and Jon; grandson Jacob; daughter-in-law Sarah (née Naples) Logan, and nephew Wade Logan.

Allan was a passionate educator and took joy in enriching the lives of his students as an English teacher and guidance counselor. During his time in the United States Army, he achieved the rank of 1st Lieutenant. Allan was a lover of animals, a caring husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and an avid fan of the Green Bay Packers and Chicago Cubs. By his example, Allan taught those around him kindness, humility, affability, and the importance of humor. Very few met Allan without being struck by his friendliness and positivity. He was a delight to be near and will be deeply missed by friends and family.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, August 21, 2018 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, 714 E. Walworth Ave in Delavan.  Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the church.  Burial will take place at Spring Grove Cemetery in Delavan.  In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the American Heart Association in Allan’s name.
