DELAVAN - Terry A. Ohl passed away on July 23, 2022 in Beloit, WI at the age of 56. He was born on September 24, 1965 in Elkhorn to Gerald and Marilyn (Hackett) Ohl completing the large Delavan Ohl family. He was a loving Son, Brother, Uncle, Stepdad and friend.
Terry grew up in Delavan before spending 18 years in Florida where he worked in construction. He then moved to Arkansas until 2020 where he built a beautiful cabin for him and his family. During his time in Arkansas he attended driving school in St. Louis and became an over the road semi driver spending years traveling across the United States. This career allowed this family loving man to plan his routes around spending time with family and attending important family events. After years of over the road truck driving he chose to move back to Wisconsin to be closer to family where he worked as a driver for Blain’s Farm N Fleet.
Terry was an avid motorcyclist and during Terry’s time in Wisconsin he joined the 72 Twisted Shifters and Sisters Club. The members quickly become an important part of his extended family. Most weekends he could be found on his motorcycle attending many charity bike runs and events where he was often the first to arrive and the first to volunteer.
Terry loved spending time in the kitchen, creating delicious meals (and a mess) for family and friends. The bigger the group the better. He enjoyed spending time at the Hackett Family Reunion with the large group of extended family members. Involved in all of the weekend events including golf, horseshoes, dancing, chatting and laughter. He even dedicated 4 years to sit on the reunion committee including being President of the 140th family reunion.
This Larger than life character will be sincerely missed by his biological family, biker family and friends. What we all wouldn’t do for one last hug!!
Terry is survived by 2 stepchildren, Justin and Amanda, and their mother, Debby; four grandchildren; a sister, Mary (Michael) Shortell, of Delavan; brothers, Michael (Amy) Ohl, of Arkansas, John (Barb) Ohl, of South Carolina, Ken (Pam) Ohl, of Sanibel, FL, and Andy (Jeanette) Ohl, of Coral Springs, FL; a sister-in-law, Sherry Ohl, of Delavan; along with many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Terry was preceded in death by his parents; and 2 brothers, Robert and Randy.
