DELAVAN – Thomas C. Wisdom Sr., age 77, of Delavan passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at home in Delavan. He was born on March 26, 1948 in DeKalb, IL to Robert and Sylvia (Mintescu) Wisdom. He worked for many years at Verizon. Thomas was united in marriage to Melodie Brown in Genoa, IL in April 1972. They enjoyed spending their time on Delavan Lake.
Thomas is survived by his wife of 53 years, Melodie; a daughter, Lori (Mike) Buchanan, of DeKalb; a son, Tom Jr. (Jennifer) Wisdom, of Fontana; five grandchildren, Nathan, Colton, Kelly, Samantha, and Savannah; a sister, Cindy (Jeff) Hoffman, of DeKalb; a brother, Steve Wisdom, of Moline, IL; a sister-in-law, Melanie Smith, of Fort Wayne, IN; and nieces and nephews.
Thomas is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother-in-law, Rich.
