DARIEN– Thomas “Tom” L. Kravenas, age 61, of Darien passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2014 at Aurora St. Luke’s MedicalCenter in Milwaukee after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born in East Moline, IL on November 5, 1952 to Albert and Marjorie (Adleman) Kravenas. Tom married Kathleen Petrulis on April 24, 1976. They later divorced and Tom married Ruth Los on November 18, 2006. Tom was a loyal employee of The Alder Companies for 17 years where he was the local "milk man". Tom enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, and sharing stories around a fire.
Tom is survived by his wife, Ruth; two children, Mary Kravenas, of Chicago, and Kenneth (Marny) Kravenas, of Chicago; two stepchildren, Tracey (Heath) VandeVoord, of Delavan, and Kevin (Marinela) Smale, of Darien; a brother, John Kravenas, of Crystal Lake, IL; six step grandchildren; and many loving friends.
Visitations will be held at 4-7 P.M. on Monday, November 3, 2014 and prior to the funeral at 10-11A.M. on Tuesday. Both will be held at Monroe Funeral Home in Delavan, WI. Funeral services will begin at 11 A.M. on Tuesday at which time family will share loving memories of Tom, and will allow time for guests to share their memories as well. Burial will take place at 12:30 P.M. at Spring Grove Cemetery in Delavan.
