Vito Episcopo

DELAVAN – Vito S. Episcopo, age 87, of Delavan passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023 at home in Delavan.  He was born in Chicago on December 5, 1935 to Vito and Anna (Ferrero) Episcopo.  Vito was united in marriage to Laurel Carolyn Brown on February 28th, 1969 in Oak Lawn, Illinois.  Vito was the Owner/Operator of Midway Airport Restaurants, Inc. for many years after a long tenure with Fred Harvey Restaurant Corp. where he was a Regional Manager during the original “Harvey Girls” era. Vito began his restaurant career with Holiday Inn, where he was also a Regional Manager of the Food and Beverage Division for many years. He was a graduate of Michigan State University, where he played football. He enjoyed hobbies such as Bowling and Art Collecting.

Vito is survived by his wife, Laurel; children, Roseanne Episcopo, Anita McIntyre (Mickey), Maria Kvitli (Tom), James Episcopo (Suzanne), Anthony Episcopo (Nicole); grandchildren, Danay Darrough, Ryan Kvitli (Briona), Rachel Barber (Neil), Jade Jantz, Makaylin McIntyre; great grandchildren, Jarrett Casseltine,Chance Darrough,Briel Kvitli, Blake Kvitli, Brayden Barber; siblings, Joseph Episcopo (deceased) (Sandra), Mary Chimenti (Late Leonard), Christine Panazzo; nieces and nephews, Joseph Chimenti (Gail), Rita Dacanay (Bruno),

Alan Panazzo (Cheryl), Nicholas Episcopo (Danielle), Gina Panazzo, Stephanie Gabriel (Eric); and many other loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends. 

Vito is preceded in death by his parents, Vito and Anna (Ferraro) Episcopo; and father and mother-in-law, Lawrence and Dorothy Brown

Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Christ Episcopal Church, 503 E. Walworth Ave in Delavan.  Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Thursday at the church.
