DELAVAN – Wayne A. Kuhnke, age 71, of Delavan passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023 at home in Delavan. He was born in Elkhorn on October 8, 1951 to Donald and Alice (Foreman) Kuhnke. Wayne was united in marriage to Candy Mohr on January 24, 1974 in Elkhorn. He was a farmer in the area for many years with his grandfather, Pete Knapp and then became an electrician with Randy Schnick. Wayne loved animals and was an avid ice fisherman especially in Devils Lake, North Dakota.
Wayne is survived by his wife, Candy; a daughter, Courtney (Ruben) Rendon, of Delavan; a son, Brodie Kuhnke, of Delavan; four grandchildren, Adeana, Hailey, Camryn, and Hunter; sister, Donna (John) Hopkins, of Delavan; a niece, Heidi; nephew, J.J.; and his cousin, Ruth Kurth.
Wayne is preceded in death by his parents.
