Gertrude Drost, age 90 of Whitewater WI, passed away Sunday August 18, 2013 At Fairhaven Health and Rehab Center in Whitewater, WI. She was born March 5, 1923 in Birnamwood WI, the daughter of Louis and Hattie (Fraaza) Bultman. Gertrude was united in marriage to Frederick Drost on September 26, 1946 in Birnamwood WI and he preceded her in death on April 6, 2001. She was a home maker and a member of the Delavan Christian Reformed Church. Gertrude loved her quilting and was a member of the Red Hats. She is survived by her daughter, Lois (Howard) Smith of Hanover Park, IL. 2 sons; Ronald Drost of Whitewater, WI and Daniel (Margaret) Drost of Oakton VA. 7 grandchildren; Andrew and Eric Smith, Nancy Gortney, Nicholas, Scott, Brian and Tiffany Drost. 15 Great-grandchildren; Alex, Alyssa, Adam, Holdenand Meryn Smith. Gabriel, Katelyn and Magnus Gortney. Carter, Eli, Lilli, Ascher, Owen, Scarlet and Hudson Drost. 1 sister, Dorothy Reyenga and 1 brother, John Bultman. Many nieces and nephews also survive. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Frederick, daughter-in-law Sandra and 1 great-grandson Cody.
Funeral Services will be 11:00am Thursday August 22, 2013 at the Christian Reformed Church in Delavan with Rev. Dan Roeda officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30am to service time on Thursday at the church. Burial will follow at Southern Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Union Grove, WI.
