DELAVAN – Amanda M. Fitzmaurice, age 26, of Delavan passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2016 at Atrium Post Acute Care of Williams Bay after a courageous 7 year battle with Leukemia. She was born in West Allis, WI on June 2, 1989 to Michael and Patricia (Casillas) Fitzmaurice. Amanda was a 2007 graduate from Delavan-Darien High School and was currently a Senior in the Bio-Chemical Department at UW-Milwaukee. She was an avid reader, loved music, fashion, and school. Amanda especially enjoyed spending time with her family and her two dogs, Ava and Bella.
Amanda is survived by her mother, Trisha Fitzmaurice, of Delavan; her father, Mike Fitzmaurice, of Janesville; a brother, Joshua Fitzmaurice; grandfather, Pablo Casillas; grandparents, Dale and Joan Fitzmaurice; special friends, Amber, Andrea, and Anthony; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Amanda is preceded in death by her grandmother, Ramona Casillas; and an uncle, John.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Friday, February 26, 2016 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, 714 E. Walworth Ave in Delavan with Fr. Angel Anaya officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Friday at the church. Memorials can be directed to the Bone Marrow Transport Unit at Froedert. The family wishes to give special thanks to the Oncology Staff at Froedert.
