WILLIAMS BAY – Andres L. Gonzalez, age 72, of Williams Bay passed away on Friday, February 26, 2021 at his home in Williams Bay. He was born in Piedras Negras, Mexico on October 2, 1948 to Luis and Adela (Lopez) Gonzalez.
Andres moved to the U.S. with his parents as a teenager and went to Gateway College to learn English in his 20s. He loved working outdoors and worked as a groundskeeper and landscaper his entire adult life. Andres was a kind-hearted, thoughtful, humorous man, always putting others needs ahead of his own. He loved music and dancing. He attended every festival he could, and if there was dancing, he always made it onto the dance floor. Having breakfast at Elizabeth’s Café in Delavan was another one of his favorite things to do. It was how he started out most of his days, because he had many close friends there. He loved making videos with his family and he loved cooking for them. He will forever be remembered for his Mexican rice, tacos and home-made flour tortillas.
Andres is a loving father and grandfather. He is survived by his children, Sonia Gonzalez, Angela Gonzalez, A.J. (Jamie) Gonzalez, Dulce Gonzalez, Luis Gonzalez, Maria Dominguez, Kristina Asselin, and Patricia Macias (estranged); and his grandchildren, AriEla Baez, Sirena Baez, Ahmoni Gonzalez, Giovanni Gonzalez, Piper Gonzalez, Alexis Contreras, Janelle Barajas and Reyna Jimenez.
Andres is preceded in death by his parents; Luis and Adela (Lopez) Gonzalez.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 P.M – 6:00 P.M. on Friday, March 5, 2021 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Ave. in Delavan.
