DELAVAN – Ann H. Lewis, age 72, of Delavan passed away on Thursday, July 13, 2023 at Aurora Medical Center in Mount Pleasant. She was born in St. Louis, MO on June 18, 1951 to John and Patricia (McKay) Huckstep. Ann was united in marriage to Raymond Lewis on March 29, 1984 in Lake Geneva. She along with her husband owned and operated the Walworth Liquor Store. After the birth of Molly, Ann became a Domestic Goddess before transitioning to support staff at Phoenix Middle School from 2004 - 2016. Upon retiring in 2016, she became a full-time Gigi to her granddaughter, Mabel. Ann was an active member of St. Andrews Parish and School and also enjoyed crafts especially sewing.
Ann is survived by her husband, Raymond; two daughters, Patricia Price, of Delavan, and Molly (Chris) Brahm, of Darien; two grandchildren, Mabel Brahm and Brady Hopper; a sister, Mary Ellen “Mel” Labrecque (Barry Blinn), of Tucson, AZ; two brothers, Tom (Nina Wilson) Huckstep, of Delavan, and John (Susan) Huckstep, of IL; and a nephew, Corey.
Ann is preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Jim and Bob.
Services will be held at 1:30 P.M. on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Avenue in Delavan. Visitation will be held from NOON until the time of the service on Saturday at the funeral home. Because of Ann’s love of reading, memorials can be directed to the Aram Public Library in Delavan.
