DELAVAN – Barbara Ann Agnew, age 75, of Delavan passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2022 at home surrounded by her family. She was born in Chicago on July 18, 1947 to James C. Dixon and Minnie (Thompson) Dixon. Barbara was united in marriage to Warren Agnew in 1970 in Chicago. Warren passed away on October 26, 2011. Ann was a nurse in the Delavan area for many years in the geriatric field. She was generous, kind, and had a heart of gold and was loved by the community. Ann was an avid antique shopper and enjoyed helping the less fortunate by being involved with numerous charities.
Ann is survived by her 3 loving children, Tara Agnew, Stacey Agnew, and Darren Agnew; 6 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; and her 6 siblings, Dorothy Dixon, Michael Dixon, Juanita Dixon, Althea Dixon, Orlando Dixon, and Lee Dixon.
Barbara is preceded in death by her husband of 41 years, Warren; her parents; and siblings, James “Bruh” Dixon Jr. and Edna Dixon.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, August 26, 2022 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, 714 E. Walworth Ave in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until the time of service on Friday at the church. Entombment will take place at Roselawn Memory Gardens in Delavan.
