Betty Lou Davis-Robbins

Betty Lou Davis-Robbins, age 72, of Whitewater, Wi., passed away Wednesday, July 3, 2013 at Fort Atkinson Memorial Hospital in Fort Atkinson, Wi.  She was born November 11, 1940 in Elkhorn, Wi.  Betty Lou was the daughter to Fred and Ruth (Parson) Rockwell.  She was united in marriage to Birney Davis on August 3, 1963 and he preceded her in death on August 6, 2001.  She then married Thomas Robbins on June 26, 2004 and he preceded her in death on October 8, 2011. She was a member of the Women's Junior League, the Girl Scouts as Troup Leader, Phi-Lamda at UW- Whitewater, and a recipiant of National RIF Award.  During her time at UW-Whitewater, Betty Lou earned her Bachelor's and Master's degrees, worked for the school newspaper The Royal Purple, and an active member in the Theater Department.  She spent her career as a Reading Specialist at Valley View in Hales Corner, Wi., Rockwell School in Fort Atkinson, Wi., Phoenix in Delavan, Wi., and Mitchell Elemeneraty.

Betty Lou is survived by her 2 daughters; Suzanne (Thanh Nguyen) Davis of East Troy and Kathleen Fuchs of Whitewater, Wi. 4 grandsons; Christopher and Nathan Ngugen and Zackery and Devin Fuchs.  Also surviving are nieces and nephews.  She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Birney and second husband Thomas Robbins.

Funeral Services will be 11:00am Tuesday July 9, 2013 at the U.C.C. Church in Whitewater, Wi. with Rev. Phil Milam officiating.  Visitation will be from 10:00am to service time at 11:00am at the church on Tuesday.  Burial will be at Spring Grove Cemetery in Delavan, Wi.  Monroe Funeral Home, in Delavan, Wi.,  is assisting the family.  Visit us at monroefh.com.
