Elizabeth Jane Van Vleet, age 87, of Delavan, Wi. passed away Thursday, July 4, 2013 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center. She was born March 4, 1926 in Rockford, Il. The daughter of Will and Mabel (Tansey) Medaris. Elizabeth was united in marriage to Wilson "Bill" Van Vleet on March 8, 1947 in Rockford, Il., and he preceded her in death on September 17, 2002. She is survived by her two daughters Lori (Bruce) Logterman of Fairfield, Wi., and Teri (John) Deschner of Delavan, Wi., her grandchildren Jonathon (Ingrid) Logterman, Melinda (Ryan) Hoffmann, Gregory Logterman, Jami Deschner, J.R. (Lindsay Wall, fiance) Deschner, her sister Mary Cromwell, four great-grandchildren Korina, Gunner, Naomi, and Bernice, and many nieces and nephews. Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents Will and Mabel Medaris, her husband Wilson "Bill" Van Vleet, and her brother John.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00am Monday, July 8, 2013 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Delavan, Wi., with Rev. Robert P. Rickman officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until time of service on Monday, July 8, 2013 at the church. Burial will follow funeral services at Willwood Burial Park in Rockford, Il.
