DELAVAN – Carolina G. Selvera, age 88, of Delavan died at East Troy Manor on Tuesday, January 10, 2023. Carolina was born on March 11, 1934 in Encinal, TX to Rafael and Manuela Gonzalez. She married Ramon C. Selvera on November 20, 1967 in Cotulla, Texas. Ramon passed away on September 5, 2013. Carolina was a longtime member of St. Andrews Catholic Church in Delavan. She had a deep passion for her whole family and especially enjoyed cooking for them. She also enjoyed Bingo.
Carolina is survived by her four sons, Juan (Velma) Charo of Delavan, Jose Charo of Delavan, Ricardo (Alicia) Roman of Delavan, and Ramon Selvera, Jr., of Elkhorn; 13 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; 5 great-great grandchildren; a brother, Dioncio (Alvina) Gonzales; and many nieces and nephews.
Carolina is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Ramon; three brothers, Manuel, Macario, and Juan Gonzales; and two sisters, Alvina Blanco and Isabel Hernandez.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, January 17, 2023 at St. Andrews Catholic Church, 714 E. Walworth Avenue in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. on Monday, January 16, 2023 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Avenue in Delavan and an hour prior to the services on Tuesday at the church. Burial will take place at Roselawn Memory Gardens.
