DARIEN – Charlene “Char” Moore, age 64, of Darien passed away on Sunday, November 26, 2023 peacefully at home. She was born to Charles and Helen (Mereness) Moore. Char graduated from DDHS in 1977. Char worked for over 45 years at various grocery stores in the bakery, meat, and deli departments. She loved doing many crafting projects and collecting gingerbread mementos.
Char is survived by her siblings, Ken Moore, Diane (Mike) Veley, Pauline (Scott) Syverson, and Dennis Moore; niece, Rachel (Joe) Knuth; and nephew, Aaron Moore; special great nephews, Caleb, Isaac, and Simon Knuth; and very dear lifelong friend, Debbie. Char was a very special and caring aunt to her nieces and nephews.
Char is preceded in death by her parents; and grandparents, Nathaniel and Leona Moore and Paul and Gladys Mereness.
Private arrangements with family will occur at a later date. Char will be laid to rest at the Brown Church Cemetery in Bear Valley.
