DELAVAN – Clyde J. Pence, age 71, of Delavan passed away peacefully on Friday, April 19, 2024 under the great care of Delavan Health Services. He was born in Litchfield, IL on March 13, 1953 to Clyde and Ruth (Walker) Pence. Clyde proudly served his country in the U.S. Army for 20 years. He was united in marriage to Mary Jane Leek on January 31, 1989 in Dover, DE. Clyde loved fishing, hunting, boating, road trips, and watching football.
Clyde is survived by his wife, Mary Jane; three daughters, Megan, Mary Beth, and Katie; a son, Rusty; eight grandchildren; a niece and nephew; and his dog, Pricey.
Clyde is preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Donna.
Services will be held at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, May 17, 2024 at St. Andrews Catholic Church, 714 E. Walworth Avenue in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service on Friday at the church. A special thanks to Delavan Health Services, Heartland Hospice, and the VA for all they did for Clyde.
