DELAVAN – Daniel Wayne Brown, age 88, of Delavan passed away on Monday, August 14, 2023 at home. He was born in Clinton on February 1, 1935 to Alvin and Edith (Westergaard) Brown. Dan graduated from Delavan High School in 1953. He served in the U.S. Army. Dan was united in marriage to Mary Diderich on January 17, 1959 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Beloit. He worked for many years at Citizens Bank in Delavan, retiring as President. Dan was a longtime member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Delavan and Delbrook Golf Course. He was also member of the Delavan Rotary Club and an avid Wisconsin Sports fan.
Dan is survived by his two daughters, Susan Erdmann, of Niles, IL, and Julie (Dan) Hanauer, of Shawano, WI; grandchildren, Katie and Aaron Schlott, Andrew and Mandy Erdmann, and Jack and Sophie Hanauer; four great grandchildren, August Schlott, Gwen Schlott, Beckett Erdmann, and Cooper Erdmann; and many nieces and nephews.
Dan is preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Mary.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Monday, August 21, 2023 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 416 W. Geneva Street in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service on Monday at the church. Memorials can be directed to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church.
