DELAVAN - Daniel W. Ransom, age 76, of Delavan, WI passed away on Sunday, October 25, 2026 at Aurora Medical Center in Mt. Pleasant.
Daniel was born January 25, 1950 to Vernon and Gloria (Sannes) Ransom in Elkhorn, WI. He enlisted and served in the U.S. Army. Daniel married Janet Allen on March 22, 1969 in San Antonio, TX. He worked as a plumber and pipe fitter, and for General Motors until his retirement. Daniel loved flying and was a private pilot. He was very active with Cousin Otto’s Clown Alley in Delavan and was a former Boy Scout. Daniel enjoyed working on different projects and could fix anything.
Daniel is survived by his wife, Janet Ransom, of Delavan; a daughter, Andrea Ransom, of Elkhorn; a granddaughter, Jade Fink; two brothers, Tim (Kay) Ransom and John Ransom; two sisters, Vicki (Lou) Marino, and Sue (Russ) Kitzman; also several nieces and nephews.
Daniel was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Jason; and a brother, Charlie.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, November 4, 2026 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Avenue in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Wednesday at the funeral home.
