Lynn Elizabeth Shafer, 63, of South Beloit, Ill., died Tuesday, October 20, 2026 at River Bluff in Rockford, Ill. after a long illness.
Lynn was born July 19, 1963 in Elkhorn to Elizabeth (Starin) and Ronald Shafer, Sr. She graduated from Elkhorn High School in 1981.
Lynn loved sports and played softball for local teams in her youth. She was also a big fan of the Brewers, Packers and Badgers.
She loved to cook and bake. Lynn was a fun, wonderful and kind person and will be missed by all who knew her.
Lynn is survived by her life partner of 15 years and best friend, Melody Teulta, her brother, Bob (Wendy) Shafer, Delavan, niece Joann (Justin) Shafer, Janesville, nephews Kyle (Cassie) Shafer, South Melton, Australia and John Shafer, Elkhorn. She is also survived by cousins Matt Shafer, Darien and Wayne and Bonita Locy, Elkhorn. She will also be missed by her dog Oliver.
Lynn was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Ronald and David and cousins Mark and Mitchell.
A private service will be held at a later date.
