David H. Alberth, age 68, of Whitewater, formerly of Delavan, passed away Monday evening, August 6, 2018 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Janesville. He was born on March 18, 1950 in Elkhorn to Carl and Martha (Turner) Alberth. David joined Donna Van Antwerp in marriage on January 7, 1974 in Illinois. He worked as an engineer at Woodward Governor in Rockford, IL for 18 years.
David is survived by his wife of 44 years, Donna; two daughters, Lisa (Odin) Loback, of Whitewater and Martha Ngabo, of Whitewater; four siblings, Rosemary Millard, Carolyn Siltila, Laurie (Larry) Watrous, and Carl (Linda) Alberth; three brothers-in-law, Ralph Van Antwerp, Monty Adkins, and Leroy Van Antwerp; two sisters-in-law, Mary (Ted) Haverly and Anna Alberth; thirteen grandchildren, Conrad, Brianne (Justin), Christopher (Amanda), Cameron (Lauren), Daniel (Ashley), Angel, Deonti (Erica), Michael, Jennifer (Nick), Emma (Travis), Albert, Elizabeth, and Ian; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.
David is preceded in death by his parents, Carl and Martha; brother, John; brother-in-law Bill Millard; and two sisters-in-law, Debbie Adkins and Judy Van Antwerp.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 11, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Delavan. Visitation will begin at 2:00 P.M until the time of service. Luncheon will follow.
