David Leitzke

DELAVAN – David Earl Leitzke, age 80, of Delavan passed away on Monday, July 10, 2017 at Geneva Lake Manor in Lake Geneva.  He was born in Oconomowoc on January 10, 1937 to Earl and Dorothy (Behrens) Leitzke.  David graduated from Delavan High School in 1955 and proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1955-1958.  He was united in marriage to Wallie Reimer at Lutherdale Bible Camp in Elkhorn on August 11, 1962, 55 years this August.  David retired from Sta-Rite in 1999 after 40 years.  He was a member of Luther Memorial Church and a charter member of the Walworth Cty Marine Corps League.  David was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather. 

David is survived by his wife of 54 years, Wallie; a daughter, Penni (Brian Hoppe) Logterman, of Janesville; two sons, Craig Leitzke, and Brian (Kathleen) Leitzke, both of Delavan; grandchildren, Heidi and Derek Logterman, Alex Hoppe, Kirsten Leitzke, Travis Leitzke, Alex (Emily) Leitzke, and Anna and Andrew Leitzke; great grandchildren, Nora and Valerie Leitzke; brother, James (Judi) Leitzke, of Zephyrhills, FL, sister-in-law, Susan Leitzke, of Zephyrhills, FL; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

 David is preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, John and Thomas, both passing in the last year. 

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, July 14, 2017 at Luther Memorial Church, 910 E. Geneva Street in Delavan.  Visitation will be held from 4:00 P.M – 7:00 P.M. on Thursday, July 13, 2017 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Ave and an hour prior to the service on Friday at the church.
