DELAVAN – DeLoris M. Hitzemann, age 99, of Delavan passed away on Monday, February 7, 2022 at Vintage on the Ponds in Delavan. She was born in Warrenville, IL on October 10, 1922 to Ewald and Selma Kroning. DeLoris was united in marriage to Joseph Hitzemann in 1946 at Trinity Lutheran Church in West Chicago. He passed away on February 15, 1994. DeLoris was an active member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Delavan and served on the Sunshine Club and Stevens Ministry.
DeLoris is survived by her four children, Diana (Barry) Wintersteen, of Cary, IL, Deborah (Clifford) Beck, of Algonquin, IL, Joseph Hitzemann II, of Sterling, VA, and Dawn (Steve) Walters, of Elkhorn; five grandchildren, Scott and Shea Wintersteen, Jason Beck, William and Amanda Hitzemann; four great grandchildren, Aiden, Madelyn, Mason, and Dylan; and a sister, Shirley Brown, of IL.
DeLoris is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph; her parents; two grandchildren, Bret and Jerimie; and siblings, Kenneth, LaVern, Donald, Marlene, Arlene, Leon, and Robert.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Wednesday, February, 16, 2022 at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, 416 W. Geneva Street in Delavan.Visitation will be held from 9:00 A.M until the time of the service on Wednesday at the church.Burial will take place at Glen Oak Cemetery in West Chicago.In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Our Redeemer Lutheran Church with School, Trinity Lutheran Church in West Chicago, or Agrace Hospice.
