Tauscher WebDenny AUBURNDALE - Dennis J. Tauscher, 69, died on Tuesday, October 15, 2013 at Ministry St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.  Denny was born in Marshfield, WI on March 15, 1944 to George and Dora (Haasl) Tauscher. He graduated from Auburndale High School and was a member of the 1960 State Baseball Championship team. Denny married Dianne Doebereiner on December 31, 1966 in Blenker, WI. Together they owned and operated Tauscher's D&D Dairy Farms for 32 years. He took great pride in maintaining his land and equipment.  Denny also enjoyed a 20 year career in media; working for the Marshfield News-Herald as a sportswriter, covering high school athletics, his weekly Packer Report on WDLB, and Beyond the Game on Marshfield cable TV. Coaching was another passion of Denny's and he spent over 15 years coaching youth baseball and basketball and football for several years as well. He loved reading to his grandkids, playing Sheepshead, gardening, talking sports and especially spending time with his family.

Denny is survived by his wife of 46 years, Dianne; a daughter, Chris Tauscher, of Marshfield, WI; three sons, Craig (Angie) Tauscher and their children Anna and Sophia, of Rochester, MN, Mark (Sarah) Tauscher and their children Maxwell and Eleanor, of Sun Prairie, WI, and Patrick (Lacey) Tauscher and their child Kaeden, of Rochester, MN; 10 siblings, Anna Rudy, Norbert Tauscher, Rita (Robert) Pongratz, Gladys Kobishop, Laurene (Jerry) Braunsky, Mary Tauscher, Agnes (Fritz) Link, Father Donald Tauscher, Doris Tauscher, Leon (Beth) Tauscher; and many nieces and nephews.

Denny is preceded in death by his parents, George and Dora; a brother, Ray; two brother-in-laws, Fred Rudy and Harlan Kobishop, sister-in-law, Dorothy Tauscher; and an infant son, David.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, October 19, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 5854 Main Street in Auburndale. Visitation will be from 4-8 P.M. on Friday, October 18, 2013 at St. Mary's Catholic Church and also one hour prior to the service at church on Saturday.  A private family burial will take place at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the TRIFECTA Foundation or American Family Children's Hospital.
