James Reyenga

James (Jim) Reyenga, age 87, of Delavan, WI, passed away October 12, 2013 surrounded by his loving family, after a courageous battle with cancer.  He was born in Franksville, WI, on May 30, 1926 to John and Hildegarde Reyenga.  In 1947, Jim moved to Walworth County area where he farmed for many years, prior to employment at Swiss Tech for 27 years.  On October 25, 1955, he married Dorothy Bultman at the Delavan Christian Reformed Church, where he was a member.  Jim liked to garden, camp and fish but his favorite times were spent enjoying the company of his wife, children, grandchildren, family and friends. Jim is survived by his wife, Dorothy, his sons, Joel (Kim) and Jeffery (Carolynn), daughter Vicki (Scott) Hibl, grandchildren, Megan (fiance Brendan) and Mason Reyenga, Jennifer (Joe) Pelnar, Emily (Matt) Smith, Jeffery Reyenga, Dan Hibl (fiance Amber), Ryan (Erin) Hibl, and Michelle Hibl (fiance Travis)  He is further survived by ten great-grandchildren, brother Henry (Ann) Reyenga, sisters Wilma VanDyken and Arlene Torrenga, brother-in-law John (Genzina) Bultman, and many nieces and nephews.  Jim was preceded in death by his parents, brother, and sister-in-law Richard and Grace Reyenga, sister and brother-in-law Dorothy and Philip Vanderleest, brother-in-laws, Henry VanDyken and Robert Torrenga, and sister-in-law and brother-in-law Getrude and Fred Drost.

A celebration of his life will be held at 5:30pm on Friday, October 18, 2013 at the Delavan Christian Reformed Church.  Family and friends who wish to express condolences may do so from 4:00pm until service time.
