WALWORTH - Diane R Kilkenny, age 84, died September 29, 2023 comfortably in her home. She was born in Elkhorn, WI, the daughter of Earl Klug and Ruth Rappold Klug Evans. She graduated from Delavan High School’s last class of 1957.
She married her husband of 65 years, John, in St Andrews Church, Delavan, August 14, 1958. After their children became school aged, she was employed as a secretary at Big Foot High School, Walworth, for 20 years until her retirement.
Diane enjoyed her responsibilities as a secretary and homemaker. She was a devoted mother, and always interested in her children’s activities. She enjoyed her annual visits with her daughters in California and their visits whenever they returned home. She was a thoughtful and considerate person and will be missed.
Diane was predeceased by her parents and her 5 year old son, Deron John (leukemia), and step-father Kenneth Evans. She is survived by her husband John, son George, and daughters Monica K (William, deceased) Benedict and Zoe Anne Kilkenny, granddaughter Leucinda Stefan, great granddaughter Sierra Linares, sister Mary Ann Holt, and many nieces and nephews.
Celebration of Life Service will be held at NOON on Friday, October 6, 2023 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Avenue in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
