Dorothy O. McDonough, age 96 of Elkhorn Wi., passed away Thursday August 23, 2012 at St. Luke's Medical Center in Milwaukee, Wi. She was born May 7, 1916 in Elkhorn, Wi., the daughter of George and Hilma (Peterson) Doebert. Dorothy married Stewart McDonough March 24, 1938 and he preceded her in death on September 1, 1986. She was a home maker and a life long member of Sugar Creek Lutheran Church in Elkhorn, where she was a 83 year member of the church choir. She was a volunteer at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center giving more than 11 thousand hours of her time to the community. She delivered Meals on Wheels in the area until retiring at the age of 95.
Dorothy is survived by her daughter Jayne (George) Mann of Muskego, Wi. Her son James (Jean) McDonough Of Blue Springs, Mo. daughter-in-law, Judy McDonough of Burlington, Wi. He grandchildren; Scott, Jeff, Darin and Courtney McDonough. Chris Mann and Megan (Scott) Ottow. Great-grandchild, Allison McDonough. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Stewart, son Wally, sister Violet and brother-in-law, Harold Loomer.
Funeral Services will be 11:00am Tuesday August 28, 2012 at Sugar Creek Lutheran Church with Rev Gerald Petersen officiating. Visitation will be from 9:30am to service time at the church on Tuesday.
