Dr. Donald F. Stoick

Dr. Donald F. Stoick passed away Thursday, September 29, 2016 surrounded by his children at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee. Born in Minnesota in 1930, he lived a full and memorable life. Donald began his commitment to the military while serving in the Minnesota Army National Guard; and later became an officer in the U.S. Air Force where he was a Controller in the Korean War. He attended St. Thomas University, the University of Minnesota and the University of Alaska. He met and married his wife Mia while attending Crieghton University, where he earned his Doctorate in Dental Surgery. They lived in Pineridge, South Dakota while Donald was an officer in the U.S. Coast Guard and U.S. Public Health Service.

In 1964 they moved to Delavan, Wisconsin where Donald was a dentist for 25 years and he and Mia raised their two children, Dave and Petra. In his later years, he shared his time living half the year in Palm Coast, Florida and half in Delavan. During retirement, he enjoyed gardening, biking and reading. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mia, and sister, Bearnice; and is survived by his children and sister, Delores. Private mass will be held at St. Benedict Catholic Church in Fontana, WI on Tuesday, October 4, 2016.
