DELAVAN - Elmer C. Jensen, 91, passed away peacefully, February 28, 2015 at Ridgestone Village in Delavan. Elmer was born in Chicago. He had two sisters, the late Dorothy, and Mary. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church of the Redeemer. Elmer was a WWII veteran, serving in Okinawa and the Pacific Rim. He was employed, like his late father, in the building trade and worked for many years as the Supervising Custodian at Bethesda Retirement home in Chicago. Elmer was a long-time resident of Delavan, WI, and a member of East Delavan Baptist Church.
Elmer leaves behind his beloved wife, Kari (Egeland) Jensen. He is also survived by many dear family members. Elmer was preceded in death by his parents, Christian W. Jensen and Bertha M. (Skov) Jensen.
A Celebration of Elmer’s Life will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at East Delavan Baptist Church, 3205 Theatre Road in Delavan with Rev. Steve Hollenbeck officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service on Tuesday at the church. Burial will take place at East Delavan Cemetery in Delavan.
