SHARON – Gene S. Bowers, age 67, of Sharon passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2017 at his home with his family by his side. He was born in Oregon, IL on March 17, 1950 to Riley and Irene (Good) Bowers. Gene was united in marriage to Julie Cunningham on October 25, 1989. He proudly served in the U.S. Army during Vietnam.
Gene is survived by his wife of 28 years, Julie; a daughter, Elizabeth Bowers, of Sharon; five sons, Justin Bowers, of Sharon, Jesse Bowers, of Sharon, Michael Bowers, of Delavan, Ryan Kramer, of Baraboo, and Keith Bowers, of Green Bay; 13 grandchildren; two sisters, Lucille Free and Linda Zehnal; two brothers, Claude Bowers and Riley Bowers Jr.; a half-brother, Don Georks; and many nieces and nephews.
Gene is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Eddie; two half-brothers, Dean and Robert Georks; and a half-sister, Janet Georks.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 28, 2017 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Ave in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the service on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials can be directed to the family.
