ELKHORN – Michael Peter Skrlac, age 77, of Elkhorn passed away unexpectedly on Monday, November 27, 2017 enroute home from a weekend getaway with his wife of 36 years, Alice Corrine and their friend, Daniel. He was born August 23, 1940 to Adam and Mary (Madruh) Skrlac in Waukegan, IL. Michael was a past member of Mother of God Church, St. Benedicts Catholic Church, St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, and the Moose Lodge in Waukegan. Mike enjoyed polka dancing and all the holidays. He retired from Abbott Laboratory after many years of service.
Michael is survived by his wife, Alice Corrine; brother, Matthew (Pat) Skrlac; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Michael is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, John, Steven, William, and Joseph; and sisters, Theresa, Caroline, Mary, Katherine, and Stephanie.
Funeral Services will be held at 12:30 P.M. on Friday, December 8, 2017 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 107 W. Walworth Ave in Elkhorn. Visitation will be held from 11:30 A.M. until the time of the service on Friday at the church. Memorials can be directed to St. Patrick's Catholic Church.
