DELAVAN – Gene Roland Moede, age 68, of Delavan passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2015 surrounded by family at Mercy Hospital in Janesville.  He was born in Milwaukee on March 2, 1947 to Melvin and Eleanor (Reich) Moede.  Gene was united in marriage to Kathleen Andritsch on May 28, 1972.  He and his wife owned The Gin Mill and The Movie Place in Waterford for many years. He also worked in sales selling outdoor power equipment and cars.  Gene proudly belonged to the American Legion. He loved spending time with family and friends, watching the Packers, and working in his yard.

Gene is survived by his wife of 43 years, Kathleen; a daughter, Leeann (Johnathan) Hibicke, of Waterford; a brother Dean (Judy) Moede, of Menasha; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.  Gene is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Melvin and Gibb.

A Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 P.M. on Sunday, August 9, 2015 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Ave in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the service on Sunday at the Funeral Home. Memorials can be directed to the Wounded Warrior Project or the American Cancer Society.
