DELAVAN – Geroge J. Welch, age 69, of Delavan passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022 at VA Hospital in Madison. He was born in Harvard, IL on November 4, 1952 to Burnice and Francis (Earstad) Welch. George proudly served in the U.S Army. He was a member of the VFW and Delavan American Legion Post 95. George was greatly loved by all his friends and neighbors.
George is survived by his son, Jeff (Kim) Gaulke, of Evansville, WI; grandchildren, Jordan, Morgan, Colten, and Natalee; step-grandchildren, Zachary and Andrew; a sister, Mildred Runk, of Delavan; and many nieces and nephews.
George is preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, and two sisters.
Funeral Services will take place at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 5, 2022 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Avenue in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery in Sharon.
