Harriet Cardoni, age 94 of Delavan, WI, passed away Saturday, January 4, 2014 at Rosewood Manor in Delavan, WI. She was born November 15, 1919 in Jefferson City, Wisconsin. The daughter of Frank and Alice (Cunningham) Schaefer. Harriet graduated from Lake Mills High School. She was united in marriage to Leonard "Tony" Cardoni on April 4, 1951 in Janesville, WI. She was proud homemaker, and along with Tony, they previously owned and operate Evergreen Motel in Delavan. Harriet was a long time active member of St. Andrew's Parish in Delavan, WI. She lived a very active life and loved spending time with her family, gardening, community activities, and entertaining family and friends. She is survived by her two sons, Roger (Leah Mueller) Cardoni of Prarie du Sac, WI, and John (Kay Christie) Cardoni of Kensington, NH, five grandchildren; Andrew (Cydni Cronin), Peter, Lauren, Anna, and Jeffrey, one great-grandchild, Victoria, and her brother, Robert (Barbara) Schaefer of Watertown, WI. Harriet was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Leonard (Tony) Cardoni, her three brothers; Arthur, Harold, and Francis Schaefer, one sister, Mary Schaefer Krause Hansen, and daughter-in-law, Gail Cardoni.
Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00am on Thursday, January 9, 2014 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Delavan, WI. Visitation will be held from 9:30am until time of service at the church.
