DELAVAN -Harry R. Morelock passed peacefully at the age of 94 in his home in Delavan, WI on June 19, 2017.
Harry Robinson Morelock was born to Elbert A. Morelock and Katherine G. Robinson on April 21st, 1923. Harry farmed during his childhood using teams of both Mules and Horses. Then progressing to using an F20 Farmall tractor in 1934. After his marriage to Nellie he continued farming but preferred the M Series Farmall. In later years, Harry worked the farm during the day and worked night shift at the Beloit Foundry for a short time. After Harry left farming he began working as a carpenter by trade. Harry completed many carpentry side jobs for family and friends, while working full-time for Bob Petersen. During this time, Harry and Bob installed the glass entry to the Andes Candies facility in Delavan WI in 1972. Later that year Harry traveled to New Orleans to assist in the Restoration of the French Quarters.
When Harry left carpentry behind; he worked in the Wood Working department of Ajay producing the wooden seats for weight lifting benches until his retirement.... where he continued to do side carpentry jobs until the age of 72.
Harry was preceded in death by his son Stephen Michael Morelock, his daughter Lorraine Kay Lemus and his loving wife, Nellie Rae Morelock.
He is survived by his three sons , four daughters, one sister and one sister-in-law; James(Jackie) Morelock of Darien, WI, Ray(Jenny) Morelock of Lake Geneva, WI and Harry(Sarah) Morelock II of Westerville, OH, Bonnie Morelock of Elkhorn WI, Ruth Huerta of Delavan, WI, Terese (Paul) Huemphner of Greenleaf, WI and Lynnice (Jesse) Sanchez of Delavan, WI, Katherine(Bill) Carter of Greeneville, Tennesse and Carolyn (James) Taft of Capron, Illinois.
Harry had 25 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Visitation and memorial service is scheduled for Monday, June 26, 2017, from 5:00pm to 7:00pm at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Ave. in Delavan, WI.
Memorial dinner will be held on Saturday June 24th, 2017 at the Darien Library from 3:00pm-5:00pm.
