SHARON – James Michael Konz, age 61, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2016 at Rockford Memorial Hospital in Rockford. He was born in Culver City, CA on August 19, 1955 to Nicholas and Margaret (Granahan) Konz. Jim proudly served in the U.S. Navy.
Jim is survived by his parents, Nicholas and Margaret; five sisters, Kathy (Jim) Wallace, Mary Ann Loenneke, Laura (Ron) Teramani, Kelly Espejo, and Toni Schnur; three brothers, Nick (Nancy) Konz, Thomas (Peggy) Konz, Christopher (Dana) Konz; and many nieces and nephews.
Jim is preceded in death by two brothers, Joseph and Daniel.
Funeral Services will be held at 6:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 22, 2016 at MONROE FUNERAL HOME, 604 E. Walworth Avenue. Visitation will be held from 2:00 P.M. until the time of the service on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at 10:30 A.M. on Friday, December 23, 2016 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Hillside, IL (Chapel Service will be held at Queen of Heaven Chapel, 1400 S. Wolf Road in Hillside).
