Jane L. Westmas, 61, of Darien, Wi., passed away unexpectedly on Thurday, May 10, 2012.She was born in Fort Atkinson on July 3, 1950, the daughter of Dr. Hugo and Elizabeth (Carter) Hunsader. Jane married John Y. Westmas on August 2, 1975 in Ft. Atkinson. After receiving her Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education at the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, she became a full time teacher at Traver Elementary school in Lake Geneva. Later she worked for Weight Watchers in Delavan for 20 years and most recently was a substitute teacher in Delavan. She was always interested in health and had a sincere willingness to help others in their journey to be healthy. She will be fondly remembered as a kindhearted, empathetic, and friendly person who will be irreplaceable to family and friends.
She is survived by her husband John of Darien and children Jason Westmas of Darien, Kara Beth Westmas of Madison, and John C. Westmas of Delavan; Sisters Mary Beth Fort of Florida, Gretchen (Mark) Collins of Menomonee Falls, Sally (David) Kochendorfer of North Carolina, Patty (Gary) Cluver of Fort Atkinson, Nicholas (Sandi) Hunsader of Fort Atkinson, nieces, nephews, and many friends, and especially her dear friend Debbi Olkives.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00am., on Wednesday, May 16, 2012, at Berean Grace Church, in Genoa City, Wi., with Pastor Steve Ross officiating. Visitation will be 4:00-7:00pm on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, at Monroe Funeral Home in Delavan. A second visitation will be held before the funeral at 10:00am until service time.
