Joyce Elaine Andersen, 82, of Delavan, Wi., passed away Thursday May 10, 2012 at Dean's St. Mary's Hospital in Janesvilleunder Agrace Hospice Care. Joyce was surrounded by loving family and friends as she made her journey. Joyce was born on March 31, 1930 to Floyd and Bernice (Jerdy) Miller in Racine. Wi. She was the second of 8 children.
Joyce was the matriarch of her family. She cherished every moment spent with family and friends. She inspired people to be the best they could be and took pride in their accomplishments. She was a wonderful example of how each of us should lead our lives.
She is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Donald J. Andersen, her 3 grateful children; Kristine (Chuck Braun) Andersen, Dane (Krissy) Andersen, and Liz (Glenn) Boss. 4 cherished grandchildren; Kristen Andersen, Kurtis (Katie) Boss, Molly Boss, and Josh Martenson. 1great-grandchild; Dane Andersen-Duclos. Siblings include sisters Betty Mendon, Patricia Miller, Yvonne Craft, Donna Schust, and Susie Miller and her brothers Jim Miller and Duane Rymenams. She is also survived by her best friend Joyce Madison and many dear friends, nieces, and nephews. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents, her stepfather Gus Rymenams, her brother Jerome Miller, her babies Robert and Mary, and her angel daughter Kathryn.
Joyce was a very generous and giving person and donated to many charities. She felt that people should give to the charities they truly believe in, so the family asks that you donate to a charity that touches your heart.
