CLINTON – Janice M. Tremaine, age 91, of Clinton passed away on Friday, February 20, 2026 at home in Clinton. She was born on July 24, 1934 in Brodhead, WI to Marvin and Marie (Schlittler) Hefty. Janice was united in marriage to Malcolm Tremaine. Malcolm passed away on April 22, 2009. Janice was a longtime member of Darien United Methodist Church and served on the Women’s Guild. She also belonged to the Red Hat Society. Janice enjoyed baking, cooking, gardening, traveling, and watching her grandkids.
Janice is survived by her children, Phyllis (Alan Erdmann) Tremaine, of Elkhorn, Coleen Remke, of Hawaii, Arlene (Kevin) Hibl, of Elkhorn, Jerry (Lanette) Tremaine, of Clinton, and Elaine (Jake) Dobratz, of Delavan; 11 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren; a brother, Richard Hefty, of TX; and a brother-in-law, Vincent Giannone, of Beloit.
Janice is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Malcolm; and a sister, Mary.
Funeral Services will take place at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 26, 2026 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Avenue in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 9:30 A.M. until the time of the funeral on Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Mt. Phillips Cemetery in Allens Grove.
