Jesse J. Thomas-Square, age 72 of Beloit, died Monday, April 11, 2011. He was born on July 2, 1938 in Alabama to Calvin Square and Mary Jane Willis-Square. He married Donna Fulrath on July 20, 1998. Jesse worked in construction as a truck driver for many years, and was previously employed at R.W. Miller in Lake Geneva. He was also a member of Fountain of Life Church in Beloit. He was a lover of cars, and played a good game of dominos. He lived a full life until the end.
Jesse is survived by his wife, Donna Thomas of Beloit; daughters: Shelia Hall of Beloit, Alycia Dortch of Lake Geneva, and Eleanor Dortch of Lake Geneva; step-children: Veronica (Lawrence) Steward of Rockford, Mario (Jill) Chapman of Beloit, and Justin (Mandy) Fulrath of Madison; grandchildren: LaKeyshia, Chrystine, Terrance, Timothy, Trenten, Tremaigne, Jada, Nevaeh, Brooklynn; step-grandchildren: Daiyon, DaShana, Travion, Lawrence Jr., and Victoria; great-grandchildren; his uncle George Thomas. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and honorary family members: Alice, Betty Jean, Calvin, Thelma, Kenny, Jerry, Chan, Shawn, Ernest, and Pegg. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Sherri Collins; siblings: H. Pearl Jones, Eddie Square, Roosevelt Square, and Katie Mae Jones.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on April 23, 2011 at MONROE FUNERAL HOME in Delavan. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Hartwell Cemetery in LaFayette Township. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor
