Joan Mary Sullivan

Joan Sullivan, age 85 of Delavan Wi., passed away Tuesday January 10, 2012 at her home by Delavan Lake. She was born March 31, 1926, the only child of Louis and Emma (O'Connell) Shorley. Joan married Edward Sullivan June 7, 1947 in Chicago and he preceded her in death September 7, 1992. She was a Home Maker and a member of St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Delavan. Joan was a graduate of Denison University in Ohio, where she belonged to the Delta Gamma Sorority. She was also a member of the Garden Club, Womens Service League and member of the Delavan Yacht Club.

She is survived by her daughters; Faryl (Dennis) Krause of Delavan and Shawn (Michael Ciesielka) of Wheeling Il. Her son, Timothy (Debra) Sullivan of Charlotte, N.C. Her grandchildren; Katie (Tim) Klade, Amy (Jamison) Seuser of Darien, David Krause of Delavan, Michael Sullivan of Antioch, Il. and Megan Sullivan of Milwaukee. Also 5 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward; 1 son, Thomas; her parents and her step-mother Helen Shorley.

Funeral Mass will be 11:00am Friday January 13, 2012 at St. Andrew's Catholic Church in Delavan with Fr. Jim Schuerman officiating. Visitation will be from 5:00pm to 7:00pm Thursday at the Monroe Funeral Home in Delavan Wi. Burial will be in St. Andrew's Cemetery.
