John Ipema

Elkhorn/ John Ipema, 79, of Delavan, passed Tuesday October 26, 2010 at his home in Elkhorn Wi.. He was born February 22, 1931 in Illinois, the son of Albert and Rena (Van Huis) Ipema. John married Angie Veldsema at the Christian Reformed Church August 18, 1972. He farmed the Elkhorn area for many years, was associated with Lakeland Disposal and with Mallard Ridge Landfill where he retired. John was a member of the Christian Reformed Church in Delavan. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his wife Angie of Elkhorn; 1 daughter, Rachel (Paul) Edmundson of Elkhorn and 1 son, Philip (Heather) of Delavan. 6 grandchildren, Brenden, Natasha, Allison, Tyler, Kaycee and Alyssa. 4 sisters, Hilda (John) Gronberg, Jane Clark, Jeanette Ipema, Grace Nichols. 1 brother, Henry (Minnie) Ipema. Also nieces and nephews survive. 1 brother in law, Jack (Deb) Keizer. He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 sisters. Lucy, Anna and Corinne.

Funeral Services will be 11:00am Friday, October 29, 2010 at the Christian Reformed Church in Delavan Wi. with Rev. Hendrik Boer officiating. Visitation will be 5 to 8 Thursday October 28, 2010 at Monroe Funeral Home in Delavan. Burial will be at Roselawn Memory Gardens in Delavan Township.
