Delavan/ Edward A. Chesko age 88 of Delavan, passed away Saturday October 23, 2010 at Willowfield Nursing Home in Delavan Wi. He was born September 20, 1922 on the south side of Chicago to Polish immigrant parents Anton and Waleria Chesko. Edward was was a graduate of Knox College in Galesburg Il. He was the Owner and Operator of the Delavan Book Company in Delavan Wi.. Prior to that he was a Principal School Administrator and a Teacher in Illinois for many years. Edward was also very active in the Delavan community. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
He is survived by 1 daughter Sarah Johannessen, grandson Bjan and granddaughter Mia of Calabasas, Ca.; 3 sons, John Chesko, grandson Ian of Santa Cruz Ca., Tom (Jeanne)Chesko, grandsons Jordan and Ryan of Carmichael Ca. and Peter Chesko of Mt. Shasta Ca. Step-family Jeanne and Tim Mahoney, Bridget and (Tom) Mahoney-Breihan and baby Clara, Ian Mahoney and Brendan Mahoney; Thom (Marcia) Bogdan, Nick (Jess) Bogdan and daughter Cady, Sarah Bogdan; Libby Bogdan-Lovis and Bill Lovis, Will (Ryka) Lovis and Rachel Lovis; Mary Bogdan-Hensold, Gabriel Hensold, Sam Hensold and Maya Hensold; Michael Bogdan, Kathy Bogdan. Also a special friend Larry Waller. He is preceded in death by his loving partner and wife, Dorothy, 1 son Jay in 1978 and by Laurie (Bogdan) Greene.
