DELAVAN – John “Jack” J. Bond, age 88, of Delavan passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024 at Golden Years in Walworth. He was born in New Lisbon, WI on March 27, 1936 to Anthony and Alice Bond. Jack proudly served in the U.S. Army Special Forces airborne division. In later years he served in the Naval Reserves in Glenview. Jack was a computer programmer at Sta-Rite for many years. He was an avid outdoorsman including hunting, fishing, and sailing.
Jack is survived by his two daughters, Kristi (Pat) Flood, of Lake Geneva, and Jackie (Ryan) Logterman, of Delavan; two sons, Jeff Bond, of Delavan, and Steve Bond, of Colorado; five granddaughters, Sarah (Charlie) Kuoni, of Glen Ellyn, IL, Kate (Peter) Flood-Hoeschele, of San Francisco, CA, Courtney (Mark) Switalski, of Milwaukee, Jaelyn and Kaiya Logterman, of Delavan; three great-grandchildren, Grace and Casey Kuoni and Max Flood Hoeschele; and three sisters, Rita Hoffman, Evelyn Lobenstein, and Rosalie Dutton.
Jack is preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Glen, Jerry, and Tommy; brother-in-law, Duane Hoffman; and Jean Bond.
Private Family Services will be held at a later date. Memorials can be directed to Wounded Warrior Project or Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research. Special thanks to Golden Years Walworth and Badger Hospice for their incredible care.
