DARIEN – Sharon Ann Marie Wheeler, age 79, of Darien passed away on Friday, August 30, 2024 at Huntington Place Memory Care in Janesville. She was born in Elmhurst, IL on June 13, 1945 to Andrew and Alice (Jirak) Kerner. When she was 1 year old they moved to Phillips, WI. She learned how to hunt, fish, sew, crochet, cook, and gather items from the woods. Sharon graduated from Phillips High School in 1963. Sharon married Clarence August Miller in Phillips in 1961 and they had five children together. They later divorced and then Sharon married Richard Ball and they had a child together. On August 17, 1980, Sharon married Burton Wheeler and he passed away on June 30, 2007. Sharon loved wild and domestic animals, drawing, walking, and cooking for family gatherings. She was a joker who loved to make people laugh.
Sharon is survived by her children, Beverly, Aaron, Keith, Lisa, and Kevin; a brother, Anthony; and many many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Sharon is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Burton; children, Ramona and Patrick; son-in-law, John; siblings, Frank, Leilani, Robert, Eugene, and Larry.
Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, September 6, 2024 at Monroe Funeral Home, 604 E. Walworth Avenue in Delavan. Visitation will be held from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.
