Juan Aponte, age 79 of Delavan, Wi., passed awy Saturday October 8, 2011 at Holton Manor Nursing Home in Elkhorn, wi. He was born December 25, 1931 in Puerto Rico, the son of Francisco and Felemina (Rivera) Aponte. Juan was a shipping Supervisor for Warner Electric in Marengo Il., now Linear Motion, for many years until his retirement. He was very active in youth baseball in the Delavan area and had a passion for golfing and his gardening. Juan had a hug and a smile for everyone he meet.
He is survived by his loving wife, Elsa of Delavan, his daughter, Judy (Scott) Holcomb of Harvard Il., his sons, John (Brenda) of Palatine, Il., Luis (Evelyn) of Raymond Wi., Ray (Julie) of Minneapolis, Mn., and Adam (Joy) of Elkhorn. 10 grandchildren; Nathan, Travis, Max, Amanda, Marcus, Carly, Christina, Nico, Ehen and Elijha. 4 great-grandchildren; Timothy, Lilah, Ethan and Skylar. 1 brother, Enesto.
Memorial Services will be 6:00pm Friday, October 14, 2011 at the Monroe Funeral Home in Delavan, Wi. Visitation will be from 4 to time of service Friday at the funeral home. MONROE FUNERAL HOME in Delavan is assisting the family.
