DELAVAN – June E. Schulz, age 87, of Delavan passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2018 at Aurora Lakeland Medical Center in Elkhorn. She was born in Troy, WI on June 11, 1931 to LeRoy and Frances (Branfort) O’Brien.  June grew up on a farm that is now Timberlee Camp.  She was united in marriage to Howard Schulz on August 6, 1955 in Elkhorn.  Howard passed away on July 17, 2003.  June supported East Troy Historical Society and was an active member of Sugar Creek Lutheran Church.  She also enjoyed quilting (Sugar Creek Quilters), gardening at Congdon Park, volunteering at the Delavan-Darien Elementary Schools, microwave popcorn, Miller Lite, Chinese food, and attending her grandchildren’s events.  She was known by the great grandchildren as Banana Bread Grandma.  After the birth of each grandchild and great grandchild, she would make a quilt.  She also looked forward and prepared for weeks to having her huge annual multi-family rummage sale.              

June is survived by four daughters, Sue Loth, of Elkhorn, Sherry Schulz, of Delavan, Sandy (Frank) Hayward, of Wayland, MI, and Sharon Hill, of Darien; 10 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; a brother, John (Jean) O’Brien, of East Troy; sister-in-laws, Lois O’Brien, of Walworth, Margaret Heller, of Delavan, and Lorraine Count, of Elkhorn. 

June is preceded in death by her husband, Howard; her parents; a brother, Robert O’Brien; and a son-in-law, Greg Loth.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at Sugar Creek Lutheran Church, N5690 Cobblestone Road in Elkhorn with Rev. Dick Inglett officiating. Visitation will be held from NOON until the time of the service on Saturday at the church. Burial will take place at Spring Grove Cemetery in Delavan. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to Sugar Creek Quilters or East Troy Historical Society.
