WILLIAMS BAY - Katherine Anastasia Spotz, 94, Williams Bay, passed away at her home peacefully with family at her side on Tuesday, September 8, 2015.
Katherine was born March 4th, 1921 in Fussen, Germany to Xaver Machenschalk and Katherine Kogel. Katherine was married to Boro Spasojevich (Spotz) January 30, 1957 after coming to America with her son Robert by boat in 1953, where they planted their new roots in Williams Bay, WI.
Katherine and her husband were active in their community and enjoyed giving countless hours to their church. Katherine also spent her time as a member of local women clubs. She had a great love for cooking and knitting and many enjoyed her flavorful and beautiful talents.
She worked many years as a cleaning lady for Williams Bay residents and spent many hours keeping track of her beloved son Bob. Katherine was a devoted wife and mother and enjoyed traveling back to their home country in Fussen, Germany. She was loved dearly by her family and friends.
Katherine is survived by her son, Bob Spotz of Delavan, WI; her grandchildren, Bob (Carolyn) Spotz, Kurt (Lynda) Spotz, and Heidi (Rob) Gamble; and her six great grandchildren, Kari (Zack) Lawlor, Kurt Spotz Jr, Kristi Spotz, Clair Gamble, Catharine Gamble and Caleigh Gamble. She is preceded in death by her husband, Boro Spotz; daughter-in-law, Cheryl Spotz; her parents, Katherine and Xaver Machenschalk; and two sisters and two brothers.
A Memorial Service will be held at Roselawn Memory Garden’s Chapel on Monday Sept. 14th at 11:30 am.
