Laura Renae Bartosz

Laura Renae Bartosz, 69, of Delavan, WI (formerly of Otisville and Manistee, MI) passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, January 22nd surrounded by family after a long and courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born in Flint, MI on August 15th, 1956 to Betty Sue (Marshall) Borges and the late Michael C. Borges. She graduated from Lakeville H.S. in 1975 and Mott Community College as a dental hygienist in 1978. Laura retired from dental hygiene in February 2020 after 42 years of practice with private offices and the State of Michigan Department of Corrections.

She married John Bartosz on June 2nd, 1979 and enjoyed many years together until their separation in 2005. They had two sons together, Paul and Mark, that she loved dearly. Laura found great joy in many of life's simple pleasures by spending time baking, gardening, crafting, knitting and enjoying her two cats, Jasmine and Jasper. She also loved to travel, especially with her sister, Linda, and dear friend Karen Robb, creating cherished memories along the way.

Laura's greatest passion, however, was her family and friends. She loved the precious time she got with her boys and four grandchildren, crafting many smiles with every visit. Her loving, caring nature helped her make friends wherever she went, from her hometown "Farkle family", to her Manistee knitting girls and Manistee Catholic Central friends, to her Jonathan's coworkers (especially her BABS) in Wisconsin. Her spirit and envious zeal for life will be missed by all who knew her, and she felt lucky to have touched so many lives in such a positive way.

Laura is survived by her sons, Paul (Angel) Bartosz, Mark (Krista) Bartosz; grandchildren, Nicklas, Joseph, Jack, and Adeline Bartosz; mother, Betty Sue Borges; and sister, Linda (Jim) Humphrey. She is also survived by her nephews, Bill and Justin Borges, as well as numerous cousins, aunts, and uncles. She also leaves behind special friends, Karen Robb, Linda Jensen, and Diane Wright. She was preceded in death by her father, Michael C. Borges, brother Michael J. Borges, brother William Borges, and sister-in-law, Lois Borges.

A celebration of Laura's life will be held on Saturday, May 2nd, 2026 at a location in Michigan to be announced. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Laura's memory to the American Cancer Society or the Lakeland Animal Shelter in Delavan, WI - causes close to her heart.
