Laurel Walter Gransee, age 87, passed away October 2, 2011 in Delavan, Wisconsin.
Laurel was born October 7, 1923 in Darien, Wisconsin, the son of Walter and Etta Gransee. He married Mary Wolter on February 25, 1946 in Delavan. She preceded him on 3-1-2011.
Laurel was raised in the Darien area and farmed with his family until adulthood. He was a bartender at Lake Lawn Lodge, The Hotel, and the Arizona Inn. He worked for the Delavan Post Office for a year and then at Sikes Motors as a Parts Manager. His love of sales drew him to Black Chevrolet, Oldsmobile, and Cadillac. He worked for several owners during his career that included Sauer Chevrolet, Tri-Motors, Waling-Cutting Chevrolet, and Crest Motors. He sold 8,000 cars during his sales career receiving numerous awards from General Motors of which he was very proud. He was a member of St. Andrew
